Freddy Brazier has pulled the plug on his new podcast following a family emergency, just days after it emerged he is set to become a father. The 20-year-old son of late Big Brother star Jade Goody deleted a post in which he bravely revealed he had been sectioned, and his podcast episode scheduled for release today was cancelled.
Freddy had launched the podcast last week, promising to discuss his childhood, the loss of his mother to cervical cancer, his addiction, and his relationships. In his now-deleted post, he admitted to smoking weed since age 12 and being sectioned after manic episodes. He also spoke of fears that his maternal grandmother, Jackiey, would take her own life if he was not around – claims she has denied.
Sources claim Freddy is expecting a child with his ex-girlfriend, and has turned to his father, parenting coach Jeff Brazier, for guidance. Jeff is said to be fully supporting his son and keen to meet the girl's family. Freddy is also reportedly seeking a DNA test before further involvement.
Freddy’s relationship with Jeff has been strained, but they are now working to rebuild bridges. A source told The Daily Mail that the news of impending fatherhood may help Freddy 'get his act together and grow up'. Freddy, who has no regular income and cannot access his mother's inheritance until his mid-20s, is said to want his own place but faces financial challenges.
Psychologist Emma Kenny praised Freddy's honesty about his struggles, calling it brave. Freddy previously stated his desire to go to rehab and repair family relationships, expressing hope to be 'happy and in a healthy relationship'.
