Freddy Brazier, 19, Expecting First Child, Admits He 'Always Knew' He'd Be a Young Dad

Freddy Brazier has revealed he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Holly Swinburn, saying he 'always knew' he would become a young father. The 19-year-old son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody announced the pregnancy in August and made his red carpet debut with Holly at the Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards this week.

The model confessed he has 'a lot of feelings' about the pregnancy but is 'excited'. 'I always knew I was going to be a young dad,' he told Closer magazine. 'It was always going to come at some point. I've been silly in the past. I'm surprised it didn't come earlier, but I'm happy.'

Freddy's baby news comes amid a difficult period for the family. His relationship with father Jeff has been strained due to a legal dispute over contact with his maternal grandmother, Jackiey Budden. Freddy had previously claimed Jackiey got him 'hooked' on drugs at age 12, which she has denied, calling his statements 'untrue'.

Ahead of becoming a father, Freddy said he is 'couch surfing and loving life', not living with his dad. 'I'm not living anywhere exactly. It's a bit of a complicated one. I'm just staying with my friends, couch surfing and loving life,' he explained.

Freddy plans to honour his late mother by naming the baby Jade if it is a girl. His brother Bobby expressed excitement at becoming a 'funcle', saying the baby will bring the family closer. 'It's going to be a team effort. Undoubtedly it will bring us together,' Bobby told The Sun.

Jeff Brazier has been supportive of his son throughout the pregnancy. Freddy and Holly are expecting their first child next year.
