Former glamour model Katie Price has sparked fresh concern over her health after being pictured looking worryingly thin during a reunion with her daughter, Princess Andre. The 47-year-old appeared unrecognisable during a mother-daughter day out in London on Wednesday, following a reported feud linked to her daughter's reality TV show.
Family Reunion Amid Ongoing Health Worries
The public outing with her 18-year-old daughter Princess comes after months of growing anxiety about Katie Price's dramatic and unexplained weight loss. Just three months ago, she revealed she had been hospitalised due to the severity of her shrinking frame and has since undergone a series of medical tests.
Despite her frail appearance, her son Junior Andre, 20, has provided a reassuring update on the family's wellbeing. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail before Christmas, Junior insisted his mother is "doing great" and that the family, including his father Peter Andre, 52, are in the "best" place they have ever been.
"People don't know her like we know her," Junior stated. "She is doing great, she's so loving, and we love her so much... I am in the best place with my family that I've ever been."
Reality Show Tensions and Medical Investigations
The reunion with Princess holds particular significance as it follows reports that Katie was initially 'banned' from appearing in the first season of her daughter's ITV show, The Princess Diaries. Sources now suggest she will join Princess for the show's second series, with the pair appearing close as they walked arm-in-arm this week.
On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie recently referred to herself as a "stick woman" and disclosed that doctors are concerned about her abnormally low blood pressure. She revealed the pressure had to be taken three times because medical staff believed the initial reading must have been an error.
She told her sister Sophie about ongoing pressure from their mother, Amy, to seek medical help: "All I've had... is, 'Have you phoned the doctors yet?'" Katie confirmed she is undergoing a full battery of tests, including blood work and an MRI, to determine the cause of her weight loss.
A Search for Answers Continues
In October, Katie confessed to fans on Snapchat that her continued weight loss was baffling, despite it initially being a goal. She explained the difficulty medical staff had drawing blood due to her "s***" veins, managing to fill only two tubes during a recent appointment.
"The reason I'm going to the doctors is because I keep losing weight and I don't know why," she stated plainly. The mother-of-five is scheduled for further tests in the coming weeks as specialists work to get to the bottom of her health issues.
While public concern mounts over her physical appearance, the family unit appears strong. Junior's emphatic defence of his mother's condition and the close bond displayed with Princess Andre suggest a supportive network around Katie Price as she navigates this challenging health chapter.
