The Miss Universe Jamaica organization has announced the death of former finalist LaToya Malcolm at the age of 35. The actress and dancer passed away on Saturday, with her cause of death not disclosed.

In a social media post, the Miss Universe Jamaica organization expressed their condolences: "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Miss Universe Jamaica alumna LaToya Malcolm." The message added that she would "never be forgotten."
Current Miss Universe Jamaica titleholder Gabrielle Henry also paid tribute, describing Malcolm's death as "a great loss" and stating that her "impact and voice will not be forgotten."
Pageant Career and Personal Challenges
Malcolm competed in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica pageant, where she stood out as one of the top contestants. During the competition, she was grieving the loss of her father. She later won the Miss Jamaica Bikini International title, dedicating her victory to her father in a heartfelt message.
Beyond pageantry, Malcolm worked as an actress and dance instructor. She was also involved with the Transition Project, a program designed to help underprivileged teenagers prepare for adulthood.
