Former TOWIE star Ferne McCann has declared that food now tops sex as her greatest pleasure, as she embraces a quieter life away from reality TV. The 35-year-old, who ended her ITVBe series First Time Mum last year, has launched a cooking app and wellness podcast, shifting her focus to family and culinary passions.
McCann, who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex in 2013, admitted that her relationship with fiancé Lorri Haines has taken a back seat to her love of cooking. 'I think absolutely it is,' she said when asked if food is better than sex. 'It ticks all the boxes. I've had some meals that have been orgasmic.'
The mother of two, who has daughters Sunday, seven, and Finty, two, with Haines, explained that their intimacy has waned due to busy schedules and parenting. 'Don't worry, I think Lorri is okay. I'm not depriving him. But yeah, it is what it is. Isn't it the same for most couples with young children?'
McCann, who got engaged to Haines in 2022 after seven months together, revealed they have no plans to marry soon. 'We're going to have the world's longest engagement,' she said. She also expressed uncertainty about having more children, stating she currently feels 'done' with two daughters.
The reality star, known for her fiery on-screen confrontations, said her departure from First Time Mum was tough but necessary. 'It was a tough decision. A year later I'm still missing it, but I still stand by it,' she told OK! magazine. Her new ventures include the Every Cloud podcast and Food With Ferne app, which she describes as 'bouji on a budget'.
