Newly uncovered files have revealed that Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, visited convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein twice while he was still serving his sentence for child prostitution. The revelations have drawn fierce criticism from Sky News Australia hosts, who described Ferguson as 'toxic' and questioned her judgment.
Details of the Epstein Visits
The files, obtained by The Telegraph, show that Ferguson requested meetings with Epstein at an office he had set up for a bogus firm while still incarcerated. Epstein was convicted in 2008 for soliciting prostitution from a minor and served 13 months of an 18-month sentence before his release in July 2009. Ferguson, who lost her royal title due to her association with Epstein, has faced renewed scrutiny over the extent of their friendship.
Sky News Australia Hosts Deliver Scathing Assessment
During a segment on Sky News Australia, host Danica De Giorgio and GB News star Cristo Foufas discussed the developments, with both delivering harsh critiques of the 66-year-old. 'It gets worse for Fergie. I think she needs to stay far, far away from the Royal Family. She is toxic,' Danica raged.
Cristo admitted he once had a 'soft spot' for Fergie because of the difficult treatment she received from the press, and found her continued friendship with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after their divorce 'quite sweet.' However, he confessed to feeling completely different now. Hitting out at the mother of two, he continued: 'What in god's name was she thinking in staying in touch with Jeffrey Epstein and trying to have these meetings with him? I love the Royal Family. I'm a huge monarchist, but a lot of them are not very bright,' he said, seemingly referring to Sarah and Andrew.
Ferguson's Judgment Questioned
Cristo added: 'I increasingly think that Fergie is at the bottom of the gene pool when it comes to the brains that were being handed out among that family.' A baffled Cristo continued: 'What on earth did she think would happen? Did she not know that this would come out? Bearing in mind the debts she's had in the past, the toe sucking, which was vulgar but a little bit funny. This is it now. She is going to be as out in the cold as her ex-husband and I think quite right too.'
Danica agreed: 'No wonder she's banished herself to the UAE or wherever she's swanning about. Don't go near Britain!' Cristo couldn't resist taking a swipe at the government during the discussion, remarking: 'The only way she would be allowed back is on a small boat. Then she's guaranteed. She'll be in a hotel up the road by the end of the day!'
