More than 200 cats gathered in Bucharest to compete in the Romania International Cat Show, an international feline beauty contest widely known as the Feline Oscars.
Competition Highlights
The event featured a variety of breeds, including British Shorthairs, Sphynx cats, Bengals, Persians, Abyssinians, Siamese, and Exotic Shorthairs. Photographs from the show captured cats in various poses, from resting between rounds to posing for the camera.
One standout was Tristan, a Bengal cat, who was pictured showing delight after being named a worthy winner. Other images showed a Sphynx receiving support from a woman, and a Siamese cat named Luffy playing a bat-like role during judging.
Judging and Preparation
During the judging process, a British Shorthair amused itself, while an Exotic Shorthair waited for its moment. A Persian cat was seen fluffing its fur, and an Abyssinian displayed a serious expression. Sphynx cats were also seen getting into character and taking direction.
The show highlighted the dedication of owners and the unique personalities of the competing felines, with several cats receiving helping hands from their handlers.
