Shebz Miah's Real Age Surprises Emmerdale Fans
Emmerdale star Shebz Miah, who plays Kammy Hadiq, recently celebrated his 29th birthday, leaving fans shocked as many believed he was much younger. One fan wrote on Facebook: 'Happy 29th birthday to Shebz, who plays Kammy', prompting replies like '29!!! I’m shocked' and 'I thought he was about 20!!'. Another added: 'Happy birthday, I thought he was only 20 years old, he doesn't look 29.'
Kammy's Arrival and Love Triangle
In March 2025, Shebz arrived in the village as Kammy Hadiq and immediately caused trouble by stealing a quad bike from Moira Dingle's land, with Ross Barton being blamed. This introduced Kammy as a bad boy, and he soon caught Sarah Sugden's attention when she found him struggling to start the stolen vehicle. Kammy became entangled in a love triangle with Sarah and Jacob Gallagher, though Sarah and Jacob eventually rekindled their romance and married, becoming surrogate parents to baby Leyla.
Homelessness Revelation and Family Estrangement
In a devastating twist, Kammy confessed to being homeless, revealing he had been living in a barn. He told Belle: 'My dad died. Unexpected. I took it really bad, I didn’t look after my mum how I should have done.' Struggling with grief, he fell in with the wrong crowd and started stealing cars. This led Cain Dingle to welcome the mechanic into the family as his romance with Belle blossomed.
Kammy also caught the affection of close pal Vinny Dingle, whom he had to gently let down, but revealed his true caring and loyal nature following Vinny's violent attack.
Career Before Emmerdale
Before his stint in the Dales, eagle-eyed fans may recognise Shebz from his cameo in a 2024 episode of Casualty, where he played Noor Din, and from appearing in Doctors in 2023 as Reece Shaw. Taking to Instagram, Shebz, from Bradford in West Yorkshire, shared: 'One year bringing Kammy to life. Grateful for the journey, the incredible people behind the scenes, and everyone who’s welcomed the character into their homes…We’re only just getting started…'
