Emmerdale fans saw Sadie King finally face the consequences of her lies on Friday, as Nicola King discovered the truth about her late husband Jimmy. After listening to a voice message on Jimmy's laptop, Nicola realised he had not cheated on her with Sadie after all.
Sadie's lies exposed
Sadie had claimed Jimmy was leading a double life and enjoying a secret romance with her for three years, planning to leave Nicola. In reality, Sadie had made it all up, hoping to get money Jimmy had promised her before his death. When Nicola heard Jimmy's actual words, revealing he was giving Sadie a one-off payment while confessing his love for his family, she took action.
Confronting Sadie at the graveyard, Nicola attacked her with flowers before knocking her to the floor. Viewers loved the moment, with one fan posting: "I am SO HAPPY Nico got to do that to Sadie." Another agreed: "Me when Nicola started whacking Sadie with the flowers."
New alliance and targets
But Nicola's victory may be short-lived, as Sadie is set to form an alliance with Joe Tate. They team up next week against the Miligans, with Joe wanting revenge on the couple again. Sadie agrees to help Joe, plotting to split Caleb and Ruby up.
Joe tasks Sadie with spying on Ruby and Caleb to find evidence that will destroy them, but Sadie has her own ideas and tells Joe she will seduce Caleb. Soon Sadie works on getting Ruby to open up, reeling her in with a sob story, while Cain Dingle grows suspicious of Sadie's decision to stay in the village.
Cain warns his brother Caleb that Sadie will ruin his life, but Caleb is confident he's too smart for her. Whether Sadie and Joe will succeed in their plan remains to be seen. Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
