Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter has announced that her family is expecting triplets – but the mother-to-be is her dog. The star, who plays Chas Dingle, shared an ultrasound photograph on her Instagram stories with the caption 'We are expecting triplets!' and a party popper emoji.
Not human triplets
The scan photos reveal that the trio are not human but puppies. The mother is Lucy's floodle (a French bulldog/poodle cross). Lucy celebrated the arrival of two puppies back in 2023, adding to her 'house of madness' which includes her three daughters.
Lucy's family
The actress welcomed her first child Lola in 2005, and in 2017 she and her partner had twin girls, Missy and Betsy, through IVF. Sharing an image of her then-puppies in 2023, Lucy wrote: 'Two more additions to the house of madness!!!! Anything to make my girls smile.' Now those dogs are having their own pups.
Chas Dingle drama
While Lucy enjoys happy family news, her character Chas has been embroiled in drama. Chas was involved in cousin Charity Dingle's break-in at Home Farm to pay off blackmailer Dr Caitlin Todd. She also investigated newcomer Serena Sugden after Chas's son Aaron suspected Serena wasn't all she seemed following partner Robert Sugden's accident with a farm trailer. Chas swiped Serena's phone and found images linking Serena to Robert's serial killer brother John Sugden.
Lucy regularly shares family milestones with fans, including her back tattoo and pictures of her bearded dragon, Narla. Her dog photos are popular, with one fan commenting 'Gorgeous pup' and another saying 'Adorable.'
