Emmerdale actor Kevin Mathurin, known for his role as vicar Charles Anderson, has been in a long-term relationship with international DJ and producer Nikki Beatnik since 2011. The couple share a son named Harley, who turned eight in September 2022, and Kevin also has a 14-year-old daughter, Gracie, from a previous relationship.

Mathurin first appeared on the ITV soap in 2020, quickly becoming a fan favourite. His character Charles has been involved in major storylines, including a romance with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and the tragic death of his son Ethan (Emile John). In 2023, Charles' mother Claudette (Flo Wilson) arrived, adding further drama.
Nikki Beatnik's Career
Nikki Beatnik has worked with A-list names such as Kelis, Jay-Z, and Kanye West. In a 2016 interview with The Standard, she recalled meeting Spike Jones and Tom Jones, and hosting parties for Alicia Keys where Stevie Wonder performed. She said: "I've met some cool, interesting people. One night Spike Jones hung out with me in the booth, but I didn't say a word to him because I was just too busy DJing."
Balancing Work and Family
Mathurin travels from South London to Leeds for filming. In 2023, he told OK! magazine: "I do feel guilty being away from the family, especially when the schedule is really busy and I am working five days in a week. It breaks my heart when I get a little voice message from my eight-year-old son, Harley, saying he misses me." He added that Nikki would have "killed him" if he had turned down the Emmerdale role, as she understands its importance.
