Emmerdale actor Kevin Mathurin, known for playing vicar Charles Anderson, has been in a long-term relationship with international DJ and producer Nikki Beatnik since 2011. The couple, who have two children together, lead a relatively low-key life away from the spotlight of the ITV soap.

Kevin made his first appearance on Emmerdale in 2020 as vicar Charles Anderson and quickly became a fan favourite. Over the years, his character has been involved in major storylines, including a doomed romance with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and the death of his son Ethan (Emile John). In 2023, Charles's mother Claudette (Flo Wilson) arrived in the village, stirring up drama with her meddling ways.
Nikki Beatnik: A Successful DJ and Producer
Nikki Beatnik has worked with A-list stars such as Kelis, Jay-Z, and Kanye West. In a 2016 interview with The Standard, she shared memorable experiences, including a night with Spike Jones and parties for Alicia Keys where Stevie Wonder performed. She said, "I've met some cool, interesting people. One night Spike Jones hung out with me in the booth, but I didn't say a word to him because I was just too busy DJing."
Family Life and Balancing Work
The couple have a son named Harley, who celebrated his eighth birthday in September 2022, and Kevin also has a 14-year-old daughter named Gracie. Kevin often commutes from their family home in South London to Leeds, where Emmerdale is filmed. In 2023, he told OK! magazine about the challenges of being away from his family: "I do feel guilty being away from the family, especially when the schedule is really busy and I am working five days in a week. It breaks my heart when I get a little voice message from my eight-year-old son, Harley, saying he misses me."
Kevin revealed that Nikki would have "killed him" if he hadn't accepted the role on Emmerdale because she understood how much it meant to him. He added, "She has a job she loves too. And thankfully if we are both away with our jobs, we've got the grandparents to help out."
