Emmerdale actress Georgia Jay has announced the birth of her first child, a baby girl named Nora, born in June 2025. The star, who plays Steph Miligan on the ITV soap, shared the news in a New Year's post on social media, revealing a black-and-white photo of her cradling the newborn.
Georgia had kept her pregnancy largely private, first confirming it in early June 2025 after weeks of fan speculation. In her announcement, she posted a professional photo of her baby bump and wrote: 'As you’ve probably guessed, I’ve got some news to share! ... I’m having a baby! We’ve never been so excited and a little nervous all at once.'
The actress received congratulations from fellow Emmerdale cast members, including Beth Cordingly and Laura Norton, as well as fans who praised the name Nora. Georgia joined Emmerdale last year as the daughter of Caleb and Ruby, and her character has been involved in intense storylines, including the revelation that her grandfather Anthony Fox was actually her father, and his subsequent murder.
Georgia exited the soap in August 2024 to go on maternity leave, and it is expected she will return to the role in the future.
