Emmerdale Star Chris Coghill's Famous Ex Revealed on This Morning

Emmerdale fans were left stunned during a recent episode of ITV's This Morning when they realised that actor Chris Coghill, who plays Kev Townsend on the soap, is the ex-husband of actress and presenter Lisa Faulkner. The revelation came as Coghill appeared on the show alongside his Emmerdale co-star Bradley Riches, while chef John Torode was also a guest in the studio. Torode is currently married to Faulkner, creating an unexpected reunion of her past and present partners on the same programme.

Social Media Erupts with Reactions

Viewers quickly took to X, formerly Twitter, to comment on the coincidence. One user posted, "Wasn’t he Lisa Faulkner's first husband?" Another wrote, "So Lisa Faulkner has her current husband and ex husband on the show today." A third quipped, "Wow Kev Townsend and John Torode in studio at the same time #awkward." The lighthearted reactions highlighted the surprise among fans.

A Look Back at Chris Coghill and Lisa Faulkner's Relationship

Chris Coghill and Lisa Faulkner met on the set of the BBC drama Burn It in 2003. They married at Richmond Park in Surrey in 2005 and adopted a daughter together in 2008. However, in 2011, the couple confirmed their separation. Faulkner later found love with Australian chef John Torode, whom she met while appearing on Celebrity MasterChef. She told Radio Times that Torode wrote her a romantic letter asking her out, saying, "I was surprised. I knew we'd had a couple of nice times where we met, chatted, had fun and talked a lot. So we were friends, and it didn't come out of the blue, but I thought it was a very gentlemanly thing to do, a letter." The couple married at Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire in 2019 and have since co-hosted ITV's John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen.
