Emmerdale: Joe almost kills again as Kim is left disgusted

Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) has been in a bad place since the accident that killed Dawn Taylor in Emmerdale, and it’s left him making questionable decisions. His grief and anger at Caleb Miligan (William Ash) for using Dawn to get back at him led him to go to extreme lengths in retaliation, burying Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) alive.

Unfortunately, it seems that this move wasn’t enough to get Joe’s anger out of his system. Next week, Kim Tate (Claire King) grows concerned that he is using alcohol to mask his grief, and it seems she is right to worry when Joe drunkenly gets behind the wheel of his car.

Joe’s dangerous actions

He is stopped by Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge), who holds her ground even as Joe revs his engine threateningly. Eventually, he backs down, and Thea drags drunk Joe back to Home Farm, where Kim is thankful that she chose to be so lenient with him.

Joe doesn’t get the same treatment from Kim herself as she rails at him for his actions, pointing out that he came close to making the same mistake as Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson).

Kim’s comparison to Vinny

It was recently revealed that Vinny was responsible for the crash that killed Dawn and Jimmy King, so how will Joe react to being compared to his lover’s killer?

It also seems that Joe isn’t prepared to let Caleb and Ruby off so easily, as he recruits Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) to spy on them, hoping to find some evidence to destroy them.

Sadie’s plan

As devious as she ever was, Sadie comes up with a plan to seduce Caleb and tear the couple apart, confident that she will succeed. Will she manage it?

When Metro spoke to William Ash at the Cure Usher Ball, he teased ‘conflict’ ahead for Caleb and Ruby, so it sounds like Sadie will certainly cause a stir for them, even if both Joe and Caleb are doubtful she will succeed.
