DS Reid has been leading the investigation into villain Dr Todd. Charity Dingle reported Todd to the police for sexual assault and blackmail, but Todd has so far avoided consequences due to lack of evidence. Vanessa Woodfield and Mackenzie Boyd have been searching for additional evidence, while a murder twist involving Dr Todd looms.
Angela Lonsdale praised her time on the show, confirming her final episodes air this week. She shared behind-the-scenes snaps and footage on Instagram, stating: "What an honour and a privilege to play DS REID and be trusted with such a sensitive story line. Working alongside the phenomenally talented @missemmaatkins @missmichellehardwick @lawrencejarobb and Caroline was one of the highlights of my career."
