American Horror Story star Emma Roberts, 35, married fellow actor Cody John on Saturday in a ceremony in Idaho, according to Vogue magazine.
Wedding and Dress
Speaking to Vogue at the fitting of her off-white Monique Lhuillier wedding dress, Roberts said: “I’ve been married in a movie before, and I tried out wedding dresses for that, which feels so weird. So now, it’s the real deal.”
She added: “I didn’t really know what I wanted, I just knew that I wanted it to feel very vintage-inspired. I’m obsessed with antique books and treasure hunting, and I love collecting old ephemera, so I really wanted that to shine through in the dress.”
Roberts noted that John “wouldn’t care if I wore jeans”, but would “definitely die” for the dress. She reportedly wore a black dress by the same designer for the after-party.
Career and Relationship
Roberts shares a child with her ex-boyfriend, actor and musician Garrett Hedlund, whom she dated from 2019 to 2022. She began dating John in 2022 and announced their engagement on Instagram in 2024 with a picture of the couple smiling as she showed off a large engagement ring.
Roberts has appeared in multiple seasons of FX’s American Horror Story, including Coven, Freak Show, Cult, Apocalypse, 1984, and Delicate, and will star in season 13 later this year. Her film credits include Nancy Drew (2007), Scream 4 (2011), and We’re The Millers (2013). John has appeared in shows such as Wu-Tang: An American Saga and In The Dark.
