Emily Atack, 36, has married Alistair Garner, 40, for the second time in a ceremony in Mojacar, Spain, weeks after their first wedding in the UK. The actress arrived at the star-studded event in a red convertible Cadillac.
Second ceremony in Spain
Emily stepped out in an off-the-shoulder gown and took the hand of her pop-star father, Keith Atack, before exchanging vows with Alistair in the courtyard of a 16th century church in Mojacar. The ceremony took place in front of almost 200 guests.
Images show Emily wearing a veil, with the long train of her gown held by her chief bridesmaid. Guests reportedly waited almost two hours at the drinks reception for the actress to arrive.
Deja vu moment
The registrar reportedly said: "I expect some of you in here are experiencing some Deja vu," referencing her first wedding three weeks earlier, which took place in Bedfordshire. Last month, the pair quietly married in a church in the UK before a party in the garden of their Bedfordshire mansion.
For the first wedding, Emily wore an ivory plunge dress from Evelie with long sleeves, a veil and lace shoes by Charlotte Mills. Discussing her choice of bridal attire, Emily said, "Since Rivals, in terms of fashion, I tend to go quite big now generally."
Family and friends celebrate
Her sister and maid of honour Martha branded the wedding "beautifully chaotic." Emily told her new husband Alistair: "I can’t believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time. Christ, we have fun don’t we?"
The latest ceremony took place in Costa de Almería, southern Spain, where her musician dad Keith once had a holiday home. Emily had spent summers there when she was young. For the special day, crates of beer, wine, spirits and Cava were seen being delivered to two venues in the town.
Among the celebrities spotted prior to the ceremony was her Rivals co-star Alex Hassell, who plays super-cad Rupert Campbell-Black in the show. Emily plays TV star Sarah Stratton, and the pair memorably played naked tennis together in the first series.
Love for the town
Speaking about her love of the town previously, Emily said: "It’s our favourite place on Earth and we still go every single year. I loved my family holidays there growing up."
Speaking about Alistair, she explained: "All the cliches of life become true when you fall in love and have a baby. He's my rock, but he really, literally, is my rock. I couldn't do life with anyone else but him." The duo got engaged in July last year.
