Elton John has been keeping busy with his four-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, but he took a break from the stage to enjoy a family day out in Saint Tropez. The singer was pictured on the beach with his husband David Furnish and their two sons, Zachary and Elijah.
The foursome visited their favourite restaurant, Club 55, on Pampelonne Beach, dressed casually for the outing. Elton wore bright red shorts, colourful shoes and a navy blue T-shirt, while David opted for a striped shirt and cut-off denim shorts. Both boys wore life jackets and adorable sun hats.
Although Elton and David are no strangers to Saint Tropez, this is the first summer they have holidayed there as a married couple. They tied the knot in December, nine years after entering into a civil partnership.
The couple’s sons share a surrogate mother. Zachary joined the family four years ago, followed by Elijah, who was born on 11 January 2013. After Elijah’s birth, the couple told Hello magazine: 'Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.'
