The Bear Season 5 introduces a new character, Cheese, portrayed by award-winning actress Elsie Fisher. Cheese is the niece of Nicholas Marshall (Brian Koppelman), known as The Computer, and joins Uncle Jimmy 'Cicero' Kalinowski (Oliver Platt) to find a backer for the restaurant while the chefs face their toughest service yet.

Fisher is best known for her breakout role as Kayla Day in Bo Burnham's Eighth Grade, for which she won 17 major awards, including a Gotham Independent Film Award and a Critics' Choice Movie Award, and earned a Golden Globe nomination. She previously voiced Agnes in the first two Despicable Me films.

More recently, Fisher starred in Netflix's 2026 comedy Roommates, played Katie Harris in HBO's Barry seasons 3 and 4, and had a recurring role as Skye in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2.
