Ellie Taylor has revealed she picked up a hand injury ahead of returning to host Strictly Come Dancing's spin-off show It Takes Two. The TV star and former Strictly contestant posted a picture of her hand in a grey brace on her Instagram Story, which allowed her fingers to move but kept her thumb in place.

Alongside the picture, Ellie wrote: "Quick visit to Minor Injuries! Thumbs up to it not being broke, just a strain!" Referring to work, she jokingly added: "Hope wardrobe has a glue gun and some rhinestones."
In a follow-up snap, she could be seen smiling at the camera as she held up her injured hand, and said: "Also big thumbs up (it's all I've got) to Nurse Wendy, who got me out in time to make my car to the studio."
First week in new role
The injury comes after Ellie was seen talking about her first week in her new role, having replaced Janette Manrara and Fleur East as host of the BBC Two series. She shared a string of pictures from the It Takes Two studio and said: "First week of 'It Takes Two' in the bag! Luckiest pig in town, working with the loveliest Elstree gang. Adored all of it. Can't wait for Saturday night to see what Movie Week has in store for us! What a series!!!"
She also shared feedback from her daughter, hilariously adding: "Shout out to my daughter who, when I asked what she thought of Mummy's new exciting job, said 'It was just you talking'. Stay humble guys."
