Pop superstar Ellie Goulding was spotted sunning herself in the South of France this week. The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker, 39, wowed in a black string bikini at the luxurious Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera, which has been the temporary home of a string of A-list celebs over the years. The hotel previously hosted Hollywood royalty including Elizabeth Taylor, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Brad Pitt.
Beach day with Beau
Ellie was joined by her boyfriend Beau Minniear as they enjoyed some time by the sea. Beau was spotted diving in from the hotel’s swimming platform into the Mediterranean, while Ellie enjoyed a more casual swim. The pair were papped sharing a kiss on the steps, with Ellie having to go up on tiptoe to reach Beau.
Ellie accessorised with a pair of black sunglasses and a black necklace, going barefoot, while Beau donned a pair of navy blue swimming trunks and opted to go shirtless.
Age gap and family
The couple’s age gap has been well documented – at 28, Beau is more than 10 years younger than Ellie, but the pair have already welcomed a baby together. Ellie shares daughter Iris with Beau, and son Arthur with her ex-husband Caspar Jopling. The pair split in February 2024, with Ellie later revealing she suffered “dark times” during their break-up.
Speaking about her album
Speaking in January about her album I Know Too Much, she said: “I didn't know it was going to be a divorce album, but that's the way it started heading. When I married my ex-husband, I thought it was for life. That will never go away and that will always stay with me.
“There are some songs that are necessary for me to acknowledge that time in my life and to be respectful of it. Then there were some songs that were extremely reactionary and sad that I felt were good to do in the moment, but don't serve me long-term.” She added to Nylon magazine: “Even my ex-husband loves the songs.”
