Elaine Hendrix has spoken fondly of Natasha Richardson and Liam Neeson's marriage, as the Taken star is rumoured to be dating his Naked Gun co-star Pamela Anderson. In an interview with the New York Post, Hendrix recalled working with Richardson on the 1998 film The Parent Trap, describing the late actress's deep love for her family.
Hendrix noted that Richardson's trailer on set was adorned with pictures of Neeson, whom she married in 1994. 'They were madly in love, and she was crazy about her kids,' Hendrix said, adding that Richardson would 'swoon with love' whenever her family was mentioned. Richardson and Neeson had two sons, Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28, before her death in 2009 from an epidural haematoma after a skiing accident.
Hendrix described Richardson's devotion to family as making her death 'all the more tragic' and praised her portrayal of a mother in The Parent Trap. 'I'm so glad that her being was captured in this movie,' she said, calling it 'a fitting tribute.' Hendrix also emphasised how 'warm and sweet' Richardson was, attributing her casting to the film's writer Nancy Meyers and producer Charles Shyer.
The comments come amid reports that Neeson, 72, is in a budding romance with Pamela Anderson, 57, his co-star in the upcoming film The Naked Gun. A source told People that the pair are 'smitten with each other,' though neither has publicly confirmed the relationship. Anderson has previously described Neeson as 'a friend forever' and a 'good guy,' while Neeson told People in October 2024 that he is 'madly in love' with her.
