Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has addressed speculation that she could replace Laura Whitmore as the host of Love Island, saying she would 'love' the role but does not feel ready. The 28-year-old, who won the ITV2 dating show alongside boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti last summer, spoke to Metro.co.uk at New York Fashion Week, where she debuted her collection with Oh Polly.
'I would love to take her place but I don't think I’m ready yet,' she said. 'I feel like I’ve got so much going on.' Whitmore announced her exit from the show last month, citing the difficulty of flying back and forth to South Africa for the winter series, as well as conflicting projects.
When asked if she and Davide could host together as a couple, Ekin-Su enthused: 'Yes, get us involved!' She added that her relationship with Davide remains the same as it was on screen: 'Whatever you guys watched on TV, that’s us here now... Nothing changed.'
Ekin-Su also discussed her Oh Polly collaboration, describing the dresses as 'very flattering' and suitable for women of all ages. 'It’s about the Ekin style, so feeling confident,' she said. 'It’s all about you and loving yourself, dressing for yourself.'
