Former EastEnders star Gurlaine Kaur Garcha, who played Ash Panesar from 2019 to 2023, has revealed she married her long-term partner Max in an intimate ceremony on June 17, 2026. The 32-year-old actress shared pictures and videos on social media with the caption '17.6.26❣️', showing the couple beaming as they left the venue, holding hands and laughing.
Wedding Details and Social Media Reactions
Gurlaine wore a chic and modern belted halterneck white top with a dramatic backless look, paired with coordinating white trousers. Her former EastEnders co-stars flooded the comments with congratulations. Diane Parish, who plays Denise Fox, wrote 'Congrats!', Patsy Palmer said 'Congratulations', and Emma Barton, who portrays Honey Mitchell, commented 'Gorgeous… congratulations beautiful.'
Engagement and EastEnders Connection
Gurlaine confirmed Max's proposal in June 2025, posting a picture sipping a drink in Ibiza, Spain, with the ring on her finger. Around the same time, her EastEnders character Ash was also revealed to be engaged, which Suki's wife Eve Urwin discovered on social media. Ash's final on-screen scenes aired in 2023 after she accepted a job in Canada, despite her father Nish's attempts to stop her using reverse psychology from Suki.
Career After EastEnders
On her exit, Gurlaine teased a potential return, writing: 'That's a wrap on Ash, for now. It's been an amazing three and a half years here at EastEnders. Thank you so much to all the viewers that have loved Ash and her journey… Hopefully it's not goodbye forever.' Last year, she appeared in Amazon Prime Video series The Girlfriend alongside Olivia Cooke, Laurie Davidson, and Robin Wright.
