Initially, Bea Pollard seemed like a harmless oddball, a victim of childhood teasing by Linda Carter and her 'pink posse'. But her EastEnders debut quickly turned terrifying. Now, as her insane behavior intensifies, focusing on claiming Honey Mitchell for herself, the beginning of the end is near.
An EastEnders spokesperson stated: 'As we previously announced, Ronni Ancona joined EastEnders for a short stint, which was then extended, for a very dramatic storyline that will unfold over the next few weeks.' Bea was always meant for a short stint, but the soap gods blessed us with an extended run of her insidious scheming. Now, we're reaching a crescendo.
Bea Pollard's EastEnders Arrival
How did we get here? After a bag-swap at a high school reunion, Honey and Linda felt guilty over their past treatment of Bea. They tracked down her flat, only to find her flatmate tossing her belongings out. He warned them about Bea's dark and insidious behavior.
Linda secured Bea a room at Elaine Peacock's boutique hotel. Chaos ensued when Bea ended up on a fake date with Max Branning. Then she turned her attention to Honey.
Bea Targets Honey
Bea engineered a job at the Minute Mart alongside Honey by preventing a shoplifting incident. She got Honey drunk, learned about Suki Panesar-Unwin's attempted kiss, and hatched a compensation scheme that failed when Honey sent an angry email. Bea saved Honey's job but lost her own.
Honey offered Bea a housesitting opportunity while the Mitchells went away. Billy returned early to find Bea had used a credit card in Honey's name. Bea trashed McClunky's when asked to leave and framed it as an attack.
Ian Beale Was Next
As the Mitchells decided Bea should leave, she targeted Ian Beale. Her manipulation of his council campaign and obsessive behavior led him to kick her out and expose her credit card fraud. Billy insisted Bea go for good. She responded by tampering with his ladder, injuring Honey instead.
With Bea unwilling to let Honey go and armed with a fake AI app and a sample of Billy's voice, her creepiness will likely escalate before her explosive departure.
