Eamonn Holmes has made a cryptic comment about unconditional love as his divorce from Ruth Langsford continues. The former This Morning couple, both 65, announced their separation last year, and Holmes has since moved on with relationship expert Katie Alexander, 44.
In a post for International Dog Day, Holmes shared a photo of Maggie, the dog he still shares with Langsford, on Instagram. He wrote: 'Today is #internationalDogDay …. And this is Maggie. I love u Mags x She changed my life and gave me unconditional love . My Bestie xxx.'
The comment follows another cryptic remark last month, when Holmes reportedly called Alexander his 'soulmate' at a party and quipped: 'In sickness you find out who is there for you.' A source described the comment as 'insensitive' towards Langsford, who has supported Holmes since the beginning of their relationship.
Meanwhile, Langsford has praised her son Jack, 23, for his support during the divorce. She told the Mirror that Jack has been particularly helpful with her mother, who has Alzheimer's, saying: 'I have to kind of remind her who he is... It's lovely.'
