Another cast member from The Real Housewives of Dubai is facing severe uncertainty as the city they call home becomes embroiled in Iranian retaliatory strikes. Caroline Brooks has disclosed her urgent plans to depart Dubai at the earliest opportunity, revealing her desperation in an interview with TMZ.
Escalating Conflict Disrupts Dubai
Over the weekend, Iran launched a series of retaliatory air strikes targeting the United Arab Emirates and other locations, following US-Israeli military operations against Iran. Significant damage was reported in Dubai, a popular hotspot for influencers and celebrities.
The strikes severely impacted airspace over Dubai, leading to the cancellation of all inbound and outbound flights. Although a limited number of flights have since resumed, the situation remains volatile and chaotic for residents and travelers alike.
Brooks' Desperate Evacuation Plans
Caroline Brooks, aged 37, expressed that her son has been profoundly affected by the escalating conflict. He is now terrified of traveling out of the city, perceiving the entire region as a war zone.
They are actively planning to purchase flights to the United States as soon as possible, intending to stay with Brooks' parents in Boston for safety and stability.
Brooks has been updating her followers on the ordeal through her Instagram Stories, detailing the challenges of obtaining clear information about evacuation procedures.
In one post, she pleaded, 'Marco Rubio do something because everyone is confused telling us to evacuate VIA coordinating with the embassy but as you know, nobody in the embassy can assist right now. So now what? Get us HOME!'
She later shared a more positive update, stating, 'I called again and another lady answered. She was so sweet! She said they will release official evacuation plan soon, keep looking out for it. The first one was RUDE! And I gave it right back to her.'
Stanbury's Struggle to Return
Caroline Brooks is not the only star from the show navigating this dangerous conflict. Caroline Stanbury is attempting to return to Dubai to be with her twin sons, who remain in the city.
Stanbury explained, 'Thank you so much for all the amazing messages I am getting. I am currently in LA, which is not ideal because my sons are in Dubai. But they are safe and I feel very comfortable with where they are and they feel very comfortable.'
The concerned mother added, 'Obviously I would like to get back as soon as I can but that’s not possible right now.'
In a video message, Stanbury emphasized, 'Everybody's ok and as I said, the boys are handling it amazingly. And we're all just waiting to see, but the UAE is obviously an amazing place and it seems from here to be incredibly under control and they're doing an amazing job, so that's all we can hope for.'
In addition to her sons, Stanbury also shares daughter Yasmine, who turns 20 on March 7, with ex-husband Cem Habib. She concluded, 'I will be back on the next plane I can back to the Dubai.'
Regional Impact and Political Context
President Donald Trump announced that the United States and Israel initiated combat operations against Iran on Friday, sparking this wave of retaliation.
A host of nations in the Gulf region have been targeted by Iran since the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday. Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and locations in Cyprus have all been struck by missiles, leaving thousands of Britons stranded in the area.
On Sunday, Trump broke his silence on the first US casualties of the war in an exclusive phone interview with the Daily Mail. Three US service members, who have not been publicly identified, were killed in the fighting.
The President remarked, 'They're great people. And, you know, we expect that to happen, unfortunately. It could happen again.'
As the conflict intensifies, the personal struggles of celebrities like Caroline Brooks and Caroline Stanbury highlight the broader human impact of geopolitical tensions, with evacuation plans and family separations becoming urgent realities for those caught in the crossfire.
