Dua Lipa and Callum Turner Marry in Intimate London Ceremony After Rom-Com Meet
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner Marry in Intimate Ceremony

Callum Turner and Dua Lipa are officially married, and their romance has been straight out of a Hollywood film from the very beginning. Before their wedding, Callum revealed the charming story of how he met the pop star and the sweet moment that made their encounter feel like a rom-com.

The couple were first seen together at the London premiere of Masters of the Air in January 2024. Later that month, they were photographed kissing during a date at Sushi Park in Los Angeles. Months later, they made their relationship Instagram official and walked the red carpet together at the 2025 Met Gala.

It all began at a friend's birthday party, where a book brought them together. Speaking to The Sunday Times, Callum shared: "We sat next to each other and realised we were reading the same book, which is crazy. It's called Trust, and I had just finished the first chapter, and I told her, and she looked at me and said, 'I just finished the first chapter too.' I said, 'So we're on the same page.'"

He described the moment as feeling like a Hollywood romance. "In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I'm like, I hear you. I understand. The signs are loud, don't worry. And that was really the first [moment]."

Dua previously told Rolling Stone that she found dating "a little confusing" before meeting Callum. "It's either through friends of friends or people you trust where you can meet new people," she said. "Because [dating] is not really so straightforward when you are, I guess, a public person."

The couple got engaged in January 2025 but were in no rush to plan the wedding, as Dua was busy with her massive 81-date Radical Optimism Tour, which grossed over £100 million. She told British Vogue at the time: "I want to finish my tour, Callum's shooting [a movie], so we're just enjoying this period... I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I'm like: 'Oh, what would I wear?'"

She added that she was "obsessed" with her engagement ring, especially because it showed that Callum knows her "very well." While the couple would love to have children, Dua admitted she doesn't know when would be a "good time" due to their hectic schedules. "But it's like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I'd have to take," she said.

The wedding took place at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, with an intimate guest list that reportedly included Dua's friends Charli XCX and Tove Lo. There is speculation that Sir Elton John, with whom Dua collaborated in 2021, may have performed at the ceremony.
