Drake's headline performance at London's Wireless Festival on Sunday ended after just 40 minutes, sparking disappointment among fans. The Canadian rapper took to the stage ten minutes early, warning he would perform 'until they cut my mic' due to a strict 9:30pm curfew.
Unlike Saturday's 90-minute set featuring 13 surprise guests, Sunday's show had only three: Popcaan, Rema and Vybz Kartel. Fans took to social media to express frustration, with one calling it 'daylight robbery' and another describing the set as 'very underwhelming'.
Earlier, the official schedule listed two Drake appearances, but the first vanished by afternoon. Drake opened with an unreleased track featuring Central Cee, who watched from the front row. The star apologised to the crowd, saying, 'London, I will love you for the rest of my life,' as he raced through hits like Controlla and One Dance.
The night ended with Drake waving from a crane to Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You. After the show, he posted on social media: 'Need some time to process what just happened...just thank you so much for the best 3 nights of my performance career.' He had signed a multimillion-pound deal to headline all three nights of the festival.
