Laura Carmichael, known for playing Lady Edith in Downton Abbey, has married her co-star Michael Fox, who joined the series in 2014 as foreman Andrew Parker. The couple, who began their romance in 2016, have kept their relationship largely private, including the birth of their son, Luca.

Carmichael and Fox have worked together on multiple projects, including the fifth and sixth seasons of the show and three subsequent films. The third film, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, is set for release on 12 September 2025. Carmichael was spotted filming at Ripon Racecourse in North Yorkshire in July 2024, alongside Michelle Dockery, Allen Leech, and others.

In a 2019 interview with Town & Country, Carmichael expressed her joy at working with Fox, saying, 'When you are able to work and love it, it is such a joy. And I've fallen in love and made wonderful friends – how lucky am I?' Fox told the Sunday Post that they keep their work and home lives separate, adding, 'We try not to talk about it too much outside of our personal lives.'
