Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has shared an emotional tribute to her father Mark after he completed his cancer treatment. The 34-year-old dancer took to Instagram to celebrate his successful battle, posting photos of him giving a thumbs-up in hospital.
Mark underwent 12 rounds of chemotherapy over six months, and Dianne described him as her 'hero' for maintaining a positive attitude throughout. 'You did it six months later and 12 rounds done. I am so so PROUD of you,' she wrote, adding that he always faced it with a smile.
Dianne also praised her mother for being a 'rock solid' support system. 'Us kids are so lucky to have you both,' she said. The dancer expressed her wish to reunite the family in the UK, hinting at a planned visit.
Fellow Strictly stars sent heartfelt messages. Vito Coppola called Mark a 'warrior,' while Amy Dowden, who has also undergone cancer treatment, wrote: 'Well done Mark, you absolute hero.'
Dianne had revealed her father's diagnosis in October last year, and has been providing updates to fans since then. The news of his recovery has been met with widespread joy.
