Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has shared an emotional admission about her growing newborn son as she prepares to return to the dance show later this year. The professional dancer and her partner, YouTuber Joe Sugg, who met on the hit BBC One show in 2018, welcomed their first child earlier this year.
Pregnancy and Birth Announcement
The couple revealed their pregnancy joy to delighted fans in September, before Dianne took part in Strictly's 2025 series. They announced the arrival of their baby boy on March 16, naming him Bowden and sharing the first photos. Since then, both Dianne and Joe have been sharing updates on their new life as a family of three.
Emotional Instagram Post
In a new post to her Instagram Story, Australia-born Dianne emotionally admitted she wants to freeze time as her first child continues to grow. Alongside a picture of his little hands holding onto her finger, she wrote: "I want this to last forever," adding a blue heart and a face-holding-back-tears emoji.
This comes after Dianne asked to watch her birth video for the first time since Bowden, nicknamed Bowie, was born 11 weeks ago. Joe captured the emotional moment their son arrived via C-section on camera.
Watching the Birth Video
"I am going to watch when I gave birth to little Bowie," Dianne said as she spoke to the camera. "Joe's got it on his laptop, and I've not seen it yet. So, I don't know how I feel about this. I was just saying on our walk, I still can't comprehend that this little dude was once in my tummy. It just blows my mind and just how much he's grown since that moment and his little personality now. I can't wait to watch it."
Speaking to Joe, she asked: "My god, is it going to freak me out?" He double-checked she was happy to watch, asking: "Do you want to see it?" to which she replied: "I do really want to see it. I've wanted to see it for a while now." She added: "Oh my gosh, I'm so nervous. Can't believe that after 11 weeks I've still not seen this."
Dianne watched the footage in amazement, with audio revealing Joe's emotional reaction. "Well done. You did it," he told Dianne. As Joe joined her, he wiped tears from his eyes, commenting: "Makes me cry every time." Dianne shared: "That's crazy. I want to watch that bit just one more time. Gosh, it brings... I mean, it wasn't that long ago."
