Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has received support from her fellow professional dancers after sharing emotional words on Instagram about returning to work after having a baby.
Dianne, who had her first child earlier this year, posted a reel on social media that first showed a clip of her with her baby bump and then dancing the samba with Will Best. Over the top, she wrote: "Strong enough to bear children, then get back to business"
Emotional caption to fellow mums
The clip of Dianne dancing was taken from last weekend's Strictly show, where Dianne and her celebrity partner Will danced their Latin number to Rock DJ by Robbie Williams. In the caption of the post, Dianne shared words for her fellow mums.
"Omg I miss My baby bump," she wrote. "I also want to say to all mummas no matter what you do after giving birth you are all super woman there’s no right or wrong just your way don’t let any body make you feel otherwise. All mummas are amazing."
Support from co-stars past and present
The comments were filled with words of support, including from her Strictly co-stars of past and present. Fellow pro dancer Amy Dowden, who is still on the show and dancing with Chris Appleton, wrote: "You're a super star and a super mum!"
Vito Coppola, who has been partnered with Lacey Turner, added: "Honestly I was thinking when watching on iPlayer, Gorji, that you are glowing!!! Come on gorjiii let’s go"
Nancy Xu also wrote a message, saying: "D D!!!! You are incredible". Nancy is also still on Strictly and has been partnered with House of the Dragon star Bethany Antonia.
Some former Strictly pro dancers also wrote in. Michelle Tsiakkas, who left the show earlier this year alongside Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Luba Mushtuk and Gorka Marquez, said: "Go girl". Meanwhile, two-time champ Oti Mabuse added: "Yes queen".
Partnership with Will Best
This year, Dianne has been partnered with Big Brother host Will Best. The two already connected over being in similar stages of life, as Will is about to become a father for the first time. He announced the news on Instagram shortly before joining the dance show.
Speaking about their partnership ahead of their first live show, Dianne admitted that sometimes she found the facial expressions Will made whilst dancing hard to watch. "You do make me laugh with the dance face, but I love it," she said. "I love the dance face, so I don't want that to go away although sometimes it's scary..."
This year, Dianne won't just be dancing on Strictly, she'll also be hosting a spin-off. The Strictly Pro Dance Off will see Strictly's pro dancers go head-to-head in dance challenges.
In it, a 'teacher pro' would show a dance routine to two other stars, who would then perform it on the dancefloor, with the 'teacher' picking who did it best. The winner would go on to the next week to face another star. Each duel is set to last seven minutes, so the show is short and draws in the social media generation.
