In the video, shared on Instagram over the weekend, Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell and her four-month-old son wore matching black and white spotted outfits while preparing for their day out. The post was captioned "Date day with mumma."
Among the flood of responses, one comment caught the dancer's attention: "Dianne loves her Dad so much that she was gifted a baby boy who resembles him so much!" Dianne replied with a series of face-holding-back-tears emojis.
Dianne announced her pregnancy last September, ahead of her return to Strictly for the 2025 series, and welcomed Bowden - nicknamed Bowie by his parents - in March with her partner, YouTube star Joe Sugg.
Last week, Dianne shared a picture of Bowie resting on her shoulder, writing on her Instagram Story: "First day back at work [face holding back tears emoji]. Mummy will miss you so much, my boy [heart emoji]."
Matching outfits and a date day
Several followers also noted the resemblance to Dianne's father, Mark Buswell. @hill8183 wrote: "He’s adorable! I think he looks so much like your Dad." @laurag_1891 replied: "I was coming to the comments to say the same." @wildhoneyjune agreed: "Thought exactly the same." @ellaalyssa1295 posted: "Where did that gorgeous big boy come from. He really looks like you Dianne and his smile is the exact same as your dads!"
Other admirers included @meeks3172, who said "The cuteness is off the scale! Like Mama like son!" while @caitlinwestiexoxo shared: "This is so so cute!" @msgrohl wrote "Can’t cope. You two are THE cutest." and @cornell.jessie added: "Such a beautiful video of you both ! You must be so proud! Love Love Love."
Back to Strictly
After her first day back at work, Dianne posted a photo with her fellow professionals, including the show's five new dancers, and wrote: "What a team! Happy first day pros. And biggest welcome to our newbies. Can't believe this is my 10th year on Strictly."
The 2026 professional line-up began rehearsals for the BBC One dance contest on Monday July 27. Aleksandra Isaeva, Cristian Priori, Lethabo Monametsi, Maddie Ingoldsby and Mark Karmalita have been confirmed as the new additions, with the series returning in September alongside a fresh batch of celebrities.
