Dianne Buswell Emotional Over Baby Clothes Donation

Strictly Come Dancing winner Dianne Buswell has opened up about the emotional process of sorting through her baby son's clothes, admitting that seeing how quickly he has grown makes her sad.

Emotional Home Update

The 37-year-old dancer, who shares son Bowden with husband Joe Sugg, posted a video on her YouTube channel this week. In the clip, she was seen going through Bowden's room to collect clothes that no longer fit him, with the intention of donating them to a local shelter.

Buswell said: 'We are now in Bowden's room and we are going through his clothes because a lot of his clothes do not fit him anymore.' She recalled being warned about how fast babies grow, adding: 'People told me, they said he is going to grow so fast. Your newborn clothes will only last a couple of weeks. I thought they were exaggerating, but it is true, they only last a short time.'

Special Items Kept Aside

While sorting, she found the outfit Bowden wore home from the hospital. Holding up the tiny garment, she said: 'If I were to put that near him now, it is so small for him. There is no way his long legs would fit into those. That is going into his special pile. It makes me sad.'

The Australian star decided to donate the outgrown clothes to a shelter. She explained: 'I found a place nearby where you can take items that are still in good condition. I am going to take them to this shelter to hopefully help someone in need of baby things.'

First Birthday as a Mum

Buswell also recently celebrated her first birthday as a mother, marking the occasion with her parents for the first time in 12 years. She posted on Instagram: 'Today was magical! Not only was it my first birthday as a mumma, but I haven't been able to spend a birthday with my parents in over 12 years. So extremely grateful for this day.'

Dianne and Joe, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, welcomed Bowden in March. The BAFTAs, which Dianne is set to host tonight, air on BBC One at 7pm on May 10.
