Strictly's Dianne Buswell Says Baby Comment 'Made Her Sad' as She Twins with Son
Dianne Buswell: Baby Comment 'Made Me Sad'

Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has revealed that a comment on a video of her and her baby son 'made her sad' as she continues to cherish time with her first child before returning to the dance floor.

Matching Outfits with Baby Bowden

The dancer, who won the BBC One competition in 2024 alongside comedian Chris McCausland, welcomed her son Bowden in March with her partner, YouTube star Joe Sugg. The couple met on Strictly when they were paired together in 2018.

In a recent social media post, Dianne shared a clip of herself and baby Bowden wearing matching green and white striped shirts under beige dungarees. The video showed her spinning around to reveal her son resting on her shoulder, with the caption: 'I would never dress the same as my child... Also me.'

Dianne captioned the post: 'Can’t help myself! Matchy Matchy.' Fans quickly commented, with one writing: 'Love all these little Mummy & baby matching outfits. Make the most of it now before he realises & can say noooo.' Dianne replied with a tearful emoji, saying: 'That makes me sad just thinking about it haha.'

Other fans shared their support, with @jo_jo_melthomas saying: 'Love this, don't ever stop. Well at least until he's old enough to realise.' @becca.thompson.89 added: 'Aww. Also same with my little boy! Why not it’s such fun!'

Watching the Birth Video for the First Time

This comes after Dianne revealed she watched her birth video for the first time, 11 weeks after Bowden (nicknamed Bowie) was born via C-section. Joe had captured the emotional moment on camera.

In a video shared online, Dianne said: 'I am going to watch when I gave birth to little Bowie. Joe's got it on his laptop, and I've not seen it yet. I still can't comprehend that this little dude was once in my tummy.'

As they watched together, Joe was heard saying: 'Well done. You did it,' wiping tears from his eyes. Dianne commented: 'That's crazy. I want to watch that bit just one more time. Gosh, it wasn't that long ago.'
