Irish actress Denise Gough, known for her roles in Disney+'s Andor and ITV's Too Close, currently stars in ITV's psychological thriller The Stolen Girl. But she is not the only famous face in her family; her younger sister Kelly Gough is also an accomplished actress, having appeared in RTÉ and Prime Video series Raw and BBC's Casualty.
In a 2025 interview with The Irish World, Kelly spoke warmly about her sister, saying: 'We are both blessed enough to be part of a very good family. Though we are far from perfect, I know all of us do our best, and – to me – there is nothing more inspirational than that.'
Kelly, who comes from a large family of 11 siblings, added: 'I'd have been lost without them. I don't always like them, but holy smokes, I love them more than anything. My parents, brothers and sisters (by blood and in law), nieces, nephews, and Shelley and Denise are – inarguably – my anchor. Come for them at your peril.'
Speaking to The Irish Post, Kelly was asked about working in the same industry as her sister. She replied: 'I don't know that I draw a line between work life and family life. There's just life. Brutal, beautiful, precious life. The more people you have in your corner-or field the better. Especially when you're wired the way I am. Like Mum, Dad, and all my siblings... Denise is in my corner.'
