Instagram sensation Demi Rose, who amassed nearly 20 million followers with her bikini and nude snaps, has seemingly vanished from social media. The 31-year-old model from Birmingham, known for travelling to Ibiza, Egypt, Miami and the Maldives, has not posted on Instagram for 127 weeks.
Disappearance and financial changes
In 2024, Demi removed everyone from her Instagram following list, which now stands at zero. Her company's profits have reportedly fallen since 2021, when her firm pocketed £1.25m in assets from an adult subscription site. The latest filed accounts for Demi Rose Productions Ltd reported net assets of just £24,855 as of April 2024. According to Daily Mail, a second business, Demi Rose Enterprise Ltd, was struck off in July 2024, and her 2025 accounts are overdue.
New life in Ibiza
Demi is now believed to be living near the "upscale" and bohemian village of Santa Gertrudis in Ibiza, away from the island's superclubs. She first moved to the Spanish island after the Covid pandemic. She has reportedly been using Snapchat, where she has 2.2 million subscribers.
A friend of Demi's told the outlet that she was "not ready to talk" about her time offline. However, her love for Ibiza and new spiritual lifestyle was documented in Ibiza Style in 2024. The outlet said: "Over the past year, she has immersed herself in enjoying alcohol-free events, live music sessions, and spiritual practices such as yoga and sound healing. This holistic approach to life has allowed her to uncover a side of Ibiza that many visitors overlook."
It continued: "The contrast between the island’s energetic south and its serene north offers her the perfect balance. She can choose to engage in the island’s vibrant social life or retreat to her peaceful sanctuary whenever she needs to recharge... Her journey on the island is a testament to the transformative power of embracing one’s true self and finding peace in the midst of life’s challenges."
Personal losses and future return
Demi has tragically lost both of her parents. Her dad Barrie died from cancer in 2018, and just seven months later she lost her mother Christine. She discussed caring for her late mum and her heartache at losing her parents on the PrettyLittleThing podcast. She said: "I’ve lost both of my parents, my dad [to] cancer and my mum had a heart attack which caused a stroke when I was 17 and I was left as her carer as she was left disabled. I was caring for her for so many years, about 7 years. Then my dad passed away with cancer and then my mum then sadly passed away 7 months after him with a stomach infection, and it just made me grow up really fast and be really really strong about things."
She added: "And I think if I can inspire people by talking about grief, then you know if they can relate to me and they can understand it a little bit and I can help them then that’s important to me. I’ve gone through a lot, so I can talk on it. I feel like nothing can really affect me now, nothing can really make me feel a certain way – I’ve gone through it all. It’s just part of life’s plan and you’ve got to be strong about it. I couldn’t have prayed for better friends."
Demi has reportedly been spending time with her cats, has become involved with local animal shelters, and is said to be friends with a tarot consultant. Her representatives have confirmed that Demi hasn't retired forever. She is currently taking a "break" from work and is set to return, which will surely delight her 17 million followers on Instagram.
