Demi Moore has shared a poignant memory of her first meeting with ex-husband Bruce Willis, revealing the moment she noticed his vulnerability. In her 2019 memoir 'Inside Out', the Oscar-nominated actress described how Willis's hands trembled when he asked for her phone number.
Moore wrote of the encounter: 'When he asked for my number, I felt a wave of schoolgirl flutters... I noticed that his hands were shaking. He was so vulnerable in that moment: all of the bravado was gone.' She praised his chivalrous behaviour, calling him 'a real gentleman'.
The couple married in November 1987 and had three daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Their marriage ended in 2000. Willis was later diagnosed with Aphasia, a condition affecting communication, as confirmed by his family three years ago.
Moore, who recently won a Golden Globe for her role in 'The Substance', is nominated for the Best Actress Oscar at tonight's ceremony. Willis continues to receive support from his family amid his health struggles.
