Dec Denies Buying 'Peephole Pants' After Lingerie Mix-Up

Declan Donnelly has denied ordering 'peephole pants' after a holiday underwear purchase sparked an intimate mix-up that left co-presenter Ant McPartlin in stitches during the latest episode of their podcast, Hanging Out.

The Lingerie Email That Fooled Dec

The 50-year-old Britain's Got Talent host was left red-faced after receiving a delivery email from a company called Intimate Lingerie. Initially, he convinced himself that his wife, Ali Astall, had a saucy surprise waiting for him. Speaking on the podcast, Dec admitted his imagination went into overdrive when the notification landed in his inbox.

He laughed: "I got an email it said, 'Your parcel from Intimate Lingerie will be delivered between 10 and 12.'" Dec added that his "heart skipped a beat" as he thought: "Mrs D's been on a spend-up. I'm in for a treat on holiday. Intimate Lingerie is arriving today!"

The presenter confessed he spent the morning "walking around with a spring in my step" while eagerly awaiting the mystery parcel.

The Less-Than-Racy Explanation

However, there was a less-than-racy explanation. Dec suddenly remembered he had recently ordered six pairs of boxer shorts for his holiday – and they just happened to be dispatched by a company called Intimate Lingerie. Ant couldn't resist winding his best mate up, asking: "How intimate were these briefs?"

Laughing, Dec quickly set the record straight: "I've not bought peephole underpants. They're my normal pants that I wear." The exchange left both presenters in fits of laughter as Dec admitted he'd gone from expecting a romantic surprise to receiving nothing more exciting than his usual holiday underwear. "I wasn't as lucky as I thought on holiday," he concluded.

Holiday Habits Revealed

The twosome are currently off TV screens to enjoy some family time, but they admitted they've holidayed in the same place as they can't bear to be apart from one another. Ant shared: "I'll let you all in to a little secret, we broke up from holiday me and Dec last week, and we've already seen each other on holiday and played golf. We can't keep away from one another that long!"

Laughing, Dec added: "Literally, I landed on Friday and we played golf on Saturday morning at quarter at eight in the morning."
