Debbie McGee, the 67-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star, says her age spots have disappeared and her skin appears '20 years younger' after undergoing a series of six NeoGen non-surgical facelift treatments at the Aspire Clinic in Reading. The total cost for the seven sessions was £4,500, with each treatment priced at £750.
Life-Changing Results
McGee, who was married to the late magician Paul Daniels until his death in 2016, described the transformation as life-changing. 'I'm 67, I'm not expecting my skin to be perfect, but I actually think it's better now than it was when I was probably in my 40s because it's so much smoother and I just love it,' she said. The NeoGen treatment works by converting nitrogen gas into plasma energy, delivering pulses across the skin to stimulate collagen production.
Confidence Boost
McGee shared that the procedure has given her a newfound confidence. 'It's given me a confidence in myself that I didn't have before, because I just feel much more natural,' she explained. She was inspired to try NeoGen after seeing impressive results on friends Christine Hamilton and Shirley Ballas, and because of two 'unsightly' age spots on her cheek that she often tried to cover with makeup.
Clear Skin at 67
Reflecting on her past sun-worshipping habits, McGee noted that all her freckles have vanished. 'I had lots of little freckles 'cause I was a sun worshiper when I was younger. They've all gone. So now I'm the proud owner of a face with clear skin at my grand old age. So it's a wonderful treatment in so many more ways than I would've ever thought possible,' she said.
Natural Look is Paramount
For McGee, achieving natural-looking results was crucial. 'One of the reasons I didn't have any other treatments and I've gone for Neogen, because I didn't want people to look at me and think, "She looks good. She's had work done." But what's been fantastic about Neogen is all my girlfriends, and lots of guys I know, keep telling me, "My goodness, Debbie, you look so good." But they don't say, "What have you had done?"' She emphasized that NeoGen promotes natural collagen, tightens skin, and removes blemishes without invasiveness.
Worth the Investment
Despite the high cost, McGee believes the treatment was worth it and will save her money on makeup. 'I do think that you need more than one treatment, but I will say if you can only afford one, I saw a big difference in my skin after one, but I saw an enormous difference as time went on and I had more,' she said. She added that she now feels comfortable going makeup-free, a change she attributes to the treatment.
