Death in Paradise star Shaquille Ali-Yebuah has been flooded with support after sharing a heartwarming behind-the-scenes video on Instagram. The actor, who joined the BBC drama in 2025 as Officer Sebastian (Seb) Rose, gave fans a glimpse of the upcoming 16th series.
Behind-the-Scenes Video Shows Fan Encounters
In the clip, the 31-year-old actor is seen in his character's uniform, shaking hands with one woman and then posing for a photo with another excited fan who screamed, "Oh my god!" His co-star Shantol Jackson, who plays Detective Sergeant Naomi Thomas, joined them for the snap. Don Gilet, who stars as DI Mervin Wilson, also ran into the shot, adding to the excitement.
One fan explained her love for the show, telling Shaquille she has watched Death in Paradise from season one to the latest series multiple times. Shaquille captioned the post: "Honestly, Big Shoutout to all the 'DIP' fans Worldwide. We regularly get fans from all over the globe flying in just to visit us, (and trust me the island isn't easy to get to!). The love is crazy, these amazing DIP fans flew all the way from Australia, UK & Netherlands just to meet us & visit the set."
Series 16 Update Teased
Giving fans a small update on the next instalment, he teased: "We love & appreciate you all, Season 16 coming soon." The post quickly attracted comments from fans, with many praising his kindness. One person said: "This is too cute." Another wrote: "This is so sweet!" A fan who met him in June commented: "We had the luck to meet you in June during filming at Honoré Police Station.
