Davinia Taylor has opened up about her decision to leave the infamous Primrose Hill Set, a group that dominated the Britpop era with their wild parties. The heiress, now 47, says she has no regrets about turning her back on the lifestyle that once involved heavy drinking and late-night revelry with the likes of Kate Moss, Sadie Frost, and the Gallagher brothers.
In a candid interview, Taylor explained that her turning point came after having her son. She realised that being hungover while caring for a child was not enjoyable, prompting her to quit alcohol at age 30. 'I was drinking, I was knackered, had a hangover. I think everyone was in their 20s,' she said, adding that many of her friends continue to drink but are 'in the grey area' of problem drinking.
Taylor, who was married to David Beckham's best friend Dave Gardner, now credits a healthy diet and her natural supplements brand, WillPowders, for her youthful appearance. She claims to have the biological age of a 20-year-old, despite being nearly 50. 'Alcohol is a neurotoxin, which makes you feel depressed,' she noted.
The Primrose Hill Set recently reunited at an Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium, with Sadie Frost, Meg Mathews, and Kate Moss in attendance. However, it is unclear whether Taylor joined them. The group remains in contact, but Taylor's life is now far removed from the chaotic days of her twenties.
