Emmerdale star Danny Miller has been sent love as he shared an old picture with his dad Vince, adding that he's so proud that he is his dad.
Last year, Danny Miller opened up about his father Vince Miller and his heartbreaking dementia diagnosis. After candidly speaking about how his dad has been doing, he shared an emotionally raw update on his dad's condition in a video urging others to speak out and be open, after his former Emmerdale co-star Charley Webb had inspired him to do the same.
Vince is best known as a singer and comedian from Stockport known as 'the king of the comperes', and in his day he was a popular figure at the Theatre of Dreams.
Emotional Instagram Tribute
Taking to his Instagram, Danny shared an old photo of himself and his dad as he wrote an emotional tribute to his father as he continues to document his journey with dementia.
He penned: "A friend sent me this today and I got very emotional, in a fond, happy way. My Dad was the master at talking through a smile to try and put you off and make you laugh
"The feeling of these moments being over is hard to cope with. And whilst he’s still here in body, he probably wouldn’t remember this moment now anyway But the point is, I do. I remember. And I’m so happy he’s my Dad. Will forever be proud of that."
He hosted my charity @sidley_ouas Grand Ball for a good 10 years, year in year out he brought his ‘A Game’ (he called it) and ran it as though it was being televised.
"What I’d give to have one more evening watching him on stage doing what he did best. And what made me want to entertain and join the world of ‘showbiz’ - all because of you Dad."
Danny concluded: "PS - I feel obliged to say he’s still alive for those who don’t understand loss to dementia. Not life. If you’re lucky to still have parents and even luckier have a relationship with them too. Cherish every, single moment."

The comments were flooded with love and support as Corrie's Ryan Thomas wrote: "Love you both" and Luke Hamnett echoed: "Love you loads".
It comes just days after Danny was forced to set the record straight as fake posts circulated online claiming that Vince had died in a car accident.
In a video he said: "My dad's alive. What an awful, awful thing to just be on your main grid. Imagine the day when it actually comes and the sad news happens, if that happens before me with his dementia, people go 'oh I thought he died two years ago'. My dad is alive."
"There's these Facebook and Instagram posts going around and people thinking that my dad's died in a tragic car accident. I never usually reply or respond or engage in this ****, but my niece is messaging me this morning, she's 17-years-old, going 'has this happened'. Family members and old friends of his messaging me, and I thought I'll just address it on here and hopefully people will get that he is alive."
"One thing about the spotlight, public eye, fame, whatever you want to call it. I've been involved in this world for over half my life and I've read some **** about me in the past, making it up and these are journalists, but now we've got every day people making Facebook and Instagram accounts and posting utter *****."
AI-Generated Fake News
Earlier this year, both Coronation Street and Emmerdale have said that AI-generated Facebook pages are posting "fake news" about what is happening in the long-running programmes and about its actors.
The full statement shared on Facebook on Tuesday (June 9) read: "It has been brought to our attention that a lot of AI generated Facebook pages are posting fake news about Emmerdale and Coronation Street actors and the programmes in general.
"Some of these posts are extremely hurtful and damaging to reputations." The message added: "Please only follow genuine news outlets and feel free to report those you think are fake via the usual methods."
