Danniella Westbrook looked happy and healthy as she revealed the results of her latest surgery over the weekend, attending the Sellebrity Soccer charity match and spending time with family watching England's World Cup win over Norway.
New Look and Positive Weekend
The 52-year-old former EastEnders star wore a flowing floral maxi dress and dark shades with her hair pulled back into a ponytail. She shared on Instagram: "What a weekend … Sunshine, football, fantastic company, family, food and of course work.. Hopefully you’ve all had a great weekend too."
One follower commented on a photo: "Who’s the sexy man on your right HELLO Sailor." Another told her: "So good to see you looking so happy, and doing so well."
Ongoing Reconstructive Surgery
Westbrook has been undergoing reconstructive surgeries after drug abuse left her with a distorted appearance. Earlier this year, she had a full face, neck and brow lift alongside a nose and lip construction in Dubai. She confirmed she will require six more rounds of surgery over the next 18 months.
The latest procedure fixed her top lip as well as the inside of her mouth and nose. Her septum collapsed following years of drug abuse in 1999.
Struggles with Addiction
Speaking on Terry Stone's Connection podcast, Westbrook revealed that at the height of her EastEnders fame she was taking around two ounces of cocaine a week. She said: "I was flushing it down the loo. I was paranoid."
She admitted she was just over 6 stone when she was taken into rehab, and it was possible to count the number of ribs and vertebrae she had in her back.
Honesty About Her Reflection
Speaking to Vanessa Feltz on Channel 5, she confessed: "Even now, I’ve just recently had to have a facelift to realign both sides of my face because they were so wonky. Just to get this nose in a certain position so we can start working on that, not for anything cosmetically beautifying, but no, I still hate looking in the mirror."
