Daniel Brocklebank's New Look and Life After Coronation Street Exit
Daniel Brocklebank: Life After Coronation Street Exit

Daniel Brocklebank, known for his role as Billy Mayhew on Coronation Street, has undergone a major transformation since his character was killed off in January. The actor, who first appeared on the cobbles in 2014, has shaved off his iconic grey beard and taken on a new stage role.

Unrecognisable New Look

In March, Brocklebank shared a clean-shaven selfie on Instagram, writing: "First time clean-shaven in over 10 years, ready to start the next job. Yay or nay?? I can't decide…." The new look was for his role in the stage thriller Double Double, which ran at the Barn Theatre in Cirencester from 28 April to 30 May.

Reported Split from Boyfriend

Brocklebank's love life has also made headlines. He began dating Jordan Coulthard, an actor, musician, and former police officer, in 2023. However, a source told The Sun that the couple split "some time ago as it wasn't working out, but they are still friendly." The source added: "Daniel hasn't shared any snaps of Jordan on his social media for over a year, since last April. He did comment on one of his snaps in December, but since then, they have not publicly interacted on socials, although they are still following each other." The Daily Mirror has contacted Brocklebank's representatives for comment.

Dog's Emergency Vet Visit

Brocklebank, an avid dog lover, regularly shares pictures of his Dachshunds Colin, Jean, and Dorris. He adopted Colin in 2019 after the pup was seized from an illegal puppy smuggling ring. In March, he rushed Jean to the vet, updating followers: "Emergency vet's trip with Jean this morning. She's in safe hands with the Animal Trust Vets team. Their care is second to none."

Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
