England fans have a new terrace dance to rival Norway's Viking Row ahead of Saturday's World Cup clash in Miami. The Daily Star has devised the 'Beer Dance' to energise supporters of the Three Lions as they face Erling Haaland's side.
Origin of the Beer Dance
Norway's fans have captivated the world with their mass Viking Row celebration after World Cup wins, led by Haaland banging a drum following their shock victory over Brazil. The row, reminiscent of Iceland's thunderclap from Euro 2016, has become a viral sensation. In response, the Daily Star created the Beer Dance to give England supporters a unique chant.
How to Perform the Beer Dance
Reporter Marcus Williamson demonstrated the moves. The dance involves four steps:
- With your left arm down, raise it as if holding a pint and pretend to sip.
- Reverse the move: drop your right arm and bring your left hand up for another sip.
- Spin 360 degrees while alternating between steps 1 and 2.
- Finish with a Jude Bellingham-style pose, both arms stretched in the air.
Fans are encouraged to try the dance in stands or beer gardens ahead of the match.
