Autopsy Reveals Teen Killed by Singer D4vd Died from Penetrating Wounds

The autopsy report for Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the 14-year-old girl allegedly killed by singer D4vd, has been released after months of being sealed. The Los Angeles County medical examiner determined her death was a homicide caused by multiple penetrating injuries, with significant wounds to her torso and one penetrating her liver.

The report, released on Wednesday, had been sealed at the request of law enforcement until prosecutors moved to lift the order. Medical examiner Dr. Odey C Ukpo expressed relief that the information could now be shared with the public and the grieving family, calling the delay 'unfathomable'.

Celeste's dismembered and decomposed remains were found in September in the trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke. The 21-year-old alt-pop singer was charged on Monday with first-degree murder, lewd acts with a minor, and mutilating a dead body. He has pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors allege Burke killed Celeste because she threatened to report their sexual relationship, which began when she was 13. The murder charge includes special circumstances of lying in wait, killing for financial gain, and murdering a witness. Burke's attorneys maintain his innocence.

The autopsy also noted that Celeste had braces and a finger tattoo reading 'Shhh…'. Two fingers and parts of her arms and legs were missing. Dr. Ukpo has emphasised his office's independence from law enforcement and opposes sealing reports unless compelled by court order.
