Cruz Beckham performed his first gig with his band on Tuesday night, receiving public support from his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel. The 20-year-old musician has been teasing his music in recent weeks and is believed to have signed with management company C3, known for working with indie artists.
Jackie, 29, shared several posts on Instagram from the gig, including a video of Cruz playing guitar with the caption: 'unannounced, just working on his craft, doin his little thing, having fun, learning, preparing, all HIS songs made by HIM played by HIM sang by HIM, absolutely smashing it, I love you.' She also posted a selfie of the couple, wearing a T-shirt that read 'i came for cruz beckham'.
The show of support comes after Cruz's mother, Victoria Beckham, defended him against 'nepo baby' claims. The former Spice Girl stated she did not help him with his music career, saying: 'Cruz has got music coming out soon. He’s spent the last ten years learning his craft... He writes his own songs, he’s put a band together. He’s properly done it from the grass roots up.'
Victoria added that her experience in the Spice Girls would not necessarily help him, as the industry has changed significantly. She advised him not to expect immediate success, noting that building a career takes time, much like her own fashion venture.
Jackie previously addressed criticism of the couple's age gap, responding to a comment by highlighting Cruz's positive qualities: 'Because he's kind, funny, smart, caring, driven, mature, talented, loyal, and also quite handsome.'
